Error npagdriv.f - no such file

Post by pharmpk » Mon May 06, 2019 1:19 pm

I'm running a model expressed as ODEs for the first time and I'm getting an error

gfortran: error: npagdriv.f: No such file or directory

I've been running algebraic models OK. I added a #Diff section to the model following the examples given

#Dif
XP(1) = -Ka*X(1)
XP(2) = Ka*X(1) - K20*X(2)
XP(3) = X(2)/V3f - K30*X(3)
XP(4) = X(2)/V4f - K40*X(4)

Oral administration with drug and two metabolites

Are there any other 'flags' / settings that are needed to implement the ODE solver. I'm guessing npagdriv.f isn't being loaded.

Thanks, David

Hi David,

Something isn't allowing the run to start, which is why there isn't an npagdriv.f file. If you look at the DOS/Terminal window before closing it, there might be an error message embedded there.

I don't see any errors in your #DIFF block, so it is likely elsewhere. Do you have definitions for all the parameters in those equations in the #PRI block? Does output look like this?

#OUT
Y(1) = X(2)/V2
Y(2) = X(3)
Y(3) = X(4)

Remember that the way you've set up the equations, the metabolites are being modeled as concentrations, so no volume terms for these in the output equations.

Focus on your model file for errors preventing npagdriv.f from being made.

Hi Michael

Thanks for the reply.

I don't an error... ;-)

At little more info. From the terminal window

PS, I got the single line with ODE model to work ?? db

Hmm. I've got three test runs working. Drug, Drug and one metabolite and Drug with two metabolites. Randomly generated data.

Some zero and < zero data points so the error "Observations <= 0 omitted from log plot." This can be fixed.

Also "ties should not be present for the Kolmogorov-Smirnov test" - I'm not sure about this one. Results in some pieces missing from the K-S plot.

Oh dear. It looks like I had some extra empty columns in the .csv file. I had them in my overall spreadsheet for extra covariates and exported the data as the .csv file for Pmetrics. Deleting the unnecessary, empty columns seems to have fix the 'problem'.
